Part of TKD is the testing, where you get a new belt. In a testing you do forms, sparring, kicks, and fitness. Depending on what belt you are testing for you do different forms kicks and fitness. The sparring is always the same. For example, if you are going to test for a blue belt, you would do Taeguek Sahm Jang. You would also do side kick, and tornado kick. For fitness, you would have to run 5 15′ wind sprints, adding things like push-ups, burpees, and high jumps. I have recently helped with a testing and it was amazing to see everyone trying their very best to get a new belt.
It is really rewarding to see them working for this because you really see them get into it. It makes you feel so accomplished when you get a new belt because you know that you have gotten better and have completely earned the belt. It is amazing to see the kids smiling faces when they feel that too.

Alex, this is such a great reminder that Taekwondo can be fun AND rewarding all at the same time. I love that you have so much appreciation for watching your fellow students earn their new belts. You are a fantastic role model for everyone at Elite Fire Taekwondo.

This was great. I love testing times and to watch everyone perform what they have trained for is amazing. Glad you were a part of the last one we had and there will be many more!
